This technology or equipment is known as the Bio-Well Electro-Photonic Imaging or GDV (Gas Discharge Visualization) Camera, which was developed and designed to assess the energetic state of a person, including overall levels of stress and vitality, as well as a potentially corresponding presence or existence of possible illnesses and imbalances.
The Bio-Well Camera is an effective screening device or tool that helps to identify weaknesses in the body’s biophotonic energy field, which enables specially trained acupuncturists and other skilled health care practitioners to quickly and efficiently focus on areas of treatment. It also provides a comprehensive method of tracking or measuring the success of prescribed care or treatment, such as Acupuncture Therapy.
In particular, a Bio-Well health assessment provides an immediate visual image or insight into what is happening in a person’s body, which can include the following indications or situations:
- Where there are blockages in the body / organs
- What areas of the body/organs are most unbalanced
- What areas of the body are balanced and doing well
- How the body is managing and/or adapting to stress or stimuli
- Where the body is storing physical and/or emotional trauma
At its core, the Bio-Well Camera uses Gas Discharge Visualization, also known as the Kirlian Effect, to measure and analyze electro-photonic emissions of human fingers, each of which are inserted, for about 10-15 seconds, into an opening on one side of the camera that contains a high-intensity electromagnetic field on its lens.
During this short amount of time, a weak (painless) electrical current, or field of electricity, is applied to or otherwise created around each fingertip for less than one millisecond. This current, or field of electricity, produces a gassy discharge of light around the finger, which also is called a Kirlian picture.
The skin’s, or fingertip’s, response to this electrical current or field is the formation of a variation of an “electron cloud” composed of light energy photons. The electronic “glow” of this discharge, which is invisible to the human eye, is captured by the camera in “real time” and transmitted to a computer where it is translated into graphical representations that show the overall state of the person’s energy field, as well as his or her corresponding stress and vitality evaluations. It also has the capability to track or gauge changes in a person’s energetic state in response to acupuncture and allergy treatments or to other types of treatments.
Interpretation of these images is based on several important factors and criteria, particularly Traditional Chinese Medicine principles and various acupuncture points that are present throughout the human body.
