We know what we are, but not what we may be
~ William Shakespeare

In a report by the United States Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), it is estimated that the number of adults with vision disorders and age-related eye diseases will increase by 50 percent or more in the coming years.

Recent studies show, for example, that the number of people aged 50 or older with macular degeneration will increase from 1.6 million to 2.9 million beginning in the year 2020.

For people with glaucoma, the number is expected to increase from 2.2 million to 3.3 million and those with diabetic retinopathy will grow from 4.1 million to 7.2 million. Likewise, the number of people with cataracts is expected to surge from 20 million to as many as 30 million by 2020 or soon thereafter.

If you have been, or someone you know has been, diagnosed with or already are living with any one of these degenerative eye conditions, as well as retinitis pigmentosa, optic nerve atrophy, Usher Syndrome, or myopia, Desneige Acupuncture and Allergy Center offers a ground-breaking eye acupuncture treatment called NewVision Therapy, which has the potential to rescue, restore and retain sight, in some cases to the greatest degree that it can be helped or improved.

NewVision Therapy is performed by Desneige Datillo, founder and medical director of the Desneige Acupuncture and Allergy Center, who received her academic and clinical training in AcuNova eye acupuncture from Dr. John Boel, Sr. and John Boel, Jr. at the highly esteemed Acupuncture University in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Credited with the research and discovery of the AcuNova acupuncture method, and its impact on people who are experiencing vision impairment or loss, as well as many other health conditions, Dr. Boel has been honored as “Acupuncturist of the Century” by The Open International University for Complementary Medicine.

After completing her study and earning her certification in AcuNova acupuncture, Desneige joined a select group of medical doctors, acupuncture practitioners, and other health care professionals throughout Europe, Asia, and around the world who are using AcuNova to treat an estimated 250,000 patients every week in more than 50 countries who have degenerative eye or vision disorders and diseases, as well as other illnesses and conditions.

Desneige also has received extensive training in AcuVision Chinese Medical Ophthalmology, which uses acupuncture methods and techniques developed by Dr. Andy Rosenfarb to provide care and treatment of patients who have been diagnosed with vision conditions and eye diseases resulting in varying degrees of sight loss or impairment. Dr. Rosenfarb is founder and clinical director of Acupuncture Health Associates in Westfield, NJ, and is a world-renowned expert in the field of Chinese Medical Ophthalmology.

The NewVision Therapy, available at the Desneige Acupuncture and Allergy Center, incorporates the advanced methods and techniques of AcuNova and AcuVision acupuncture in its approach to the treatment of eye conditions, especially those involving age-related macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy.
